BUD
BUD is a poem for waiting. Slowly blooming, slowly bleeding.
BUD is a choreographic reflection on "waiting" and how we humans operate in this mysterious state. Five performers, dressed in sculptural costumes, transport the audience into a cinematic scenery - scaping a waiting room where time seems to stand still and everything or nothing can happen. Only gradually does the performers' inert act of lingering transform into an aggressive act of waiting. A collective game unfolds between the hunt for any event and being chased by the unfulfilled.
BUD is commissioned by Carte Blanche – The Norwegian National Company of Contemporary Dance.
Artistic director Annabelle Bonnéry has engaged two up and coming choreographers from the same generation to create a two-part full evening for Carte Blanche. Five and nine dancers meet choreographers Roza Moshtaghi and Lander Patrick in a double bill that presents Norwegian and international contemporary dance on the same stage.
